Alchemy

An ancient philosophic and mystical practice that spans four millenia. The transmutation of matter from one substance to another. Alchemy is one of the most widely respected departments within the Royal University of Canaan with many students who look to further the science. Already alchemy is capable of transmuting common iron to gold, silver to mercury. Modern alchemists study the possibility of the ultimate transmutation, that from death to life, though it is largely considered impossible by the known laws of alchemy.
