After the fall of the First City the eldest son of the Emperor - Prince Thaylian - gathered what few siblings he had left, their most trusted servants, and their families together in order to head North where they would establish their new holding. Even though they found nothing but an icy wasteland it was a new beginning for those who had begun to call themselves Thaynes in honor of their beloved Prince who had delivered them from the hell that was behind them. For over four thousand years the icebloods have ruled the region known as the Boreal Forest in an unbroken line of honor, distinguished service in battle, and adversity; which has forged them into a hard people that rely on one another to survive. They have become adapted to the land and it is said that no Thayne ever knows a cold day, even on the ice during the harshest blizzards and snowstorms.
